Through no fault of his own, this sweet boy and his brother came to LCCR as an owner surrender. After a vet visit it was discovered that Dexter has chronic cystitis and a thyroid condition. Thankfully these are both easily treated with twice daily medication and Dexter is (usually) pretty good at taking it.
Dexter likes to be where the people are, whether that's out in the garden, on the deck, or in the living room. He can always be found nearby. He also loves little dens and can be found hiding out in a little tent, under the rhubarb leaves, or under a blanket.
Dexter is a vulture when it comes to feeding time! He likes to sit on the counter and tell you it's time to eat, and if you don't feed him fast enough he will investigate the tin can his food came out of. Once his belly is full, Dexter likes to find a nice place to sit or curl up, usually by a window. especially likes to sit by the window. Dexter isn't typically very vocal but he has a deep meow that always gets attention.
Dexter is a favourite among the volunteers and is living out the rest of his life with his brother in a permanent foster home.
